Why use an NICEIC qualified company?

NICEIC is an abbreviation that stands for National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation.

The NICEIC regulate the electrical installation work of electricians that join their organisation. For an electrician to become a member of the NICEIC they have to be electrically competent, qualified and assessed.

Livewire Electrical are proud to be a member of the NICEIC bringing peace of mind to all our clients, knowing they have an approved and competent electrical installer carrying out their works.

Approved Contractors and Domestic Installers are required to issue a safety certificate for all their electrical work to confirm that the installation has been designed, constructed, inspected and tested in accordance with the national electrical safety standard, BS 7671 – Requirements for Electrical Installations.

Our fully trained electricians will undertake all aspects of electrical work within your home including minor alterations and additions to the existing electrical installation.

We can install new or amend old circuits and complete major works like extensions or full rewires, where we will discuss your requirements on a face-to-face basis and design the electrical installation to suit your present and future needs.

All work is fully certified and an NICEIC Domestic Electrical Installation Certificate is issued upon completion of the works. This certificate confirms that the work has been carried out, inspected and tested in accordance with BS 7671, the national safety standard for electrical installations.

Within 30 days of the work being completed, you will also receive an electrical installation certification of compliance. This certificate confirms that the work complies with Part P of the building regulations. You must be aware of any contractors who do not issue this paperwork. When I sign these documents, I am personally putting my name down as the person responsible for the design, construction, inspection and testing of the installation.
