What is an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is an inspection of the condition of an existing electrical installation, to identify any deficiencies against the national safety standard for electrical installations.
Every electrical installation deteriorates with use and age. It is important for the person responsible for the maintenance of the installation to be sure that the safety of users is not put at risk, and that the installation continues to be in a safe and serviceable condition.
Previously called a (PIR) Periodic Inspection Report / Landlord Electrical Safety Certificate / Electrical Safety Certificate.
How often do I need an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
- Before purchasing a house to confirm the condition of the electrics and uncover any unforeseen – problems / faults / safety issues / failures to meet regulations. This could save you a lot of money.
- Selling a property – The next buyer / mortgage lender may require an EICR to confirm the condition of the electrics
- Change of tenancy for rented properties and premises
- Private homes should be tested every 10 years

From July 1st 2020 it is now law for landlords to have an EICR report carried out when necessary.
Insurers will not cover you if you have not maintained electrical safety and have an in-date satisfactory, Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR).

- We charge £195 per single phase mains and all the circuits included
- This will give you a 6-page detailed report and will be visually and physically tested. All, if any discovered problems tested will be listed in the importance of danger.
- We will email you a copy of the Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) in pdf format, and post a hard copy to you.
- If any failures are listed, we will provide a FREE, no obligation quotation to correct them. Once rectified issue a Satisfactory EICR
